You’re allergic to numbing cream (Lidocaine/Emla).
You have active acne, eczema, or cold sores in the treatment area.
You currently have or are prone to keloid scarring.
You’re using strong skincare ingredients (like Retinol or Vitamin C) within 3–5 days of your appointment.
You’ve used Isotretinoin/Roaccutane in the past 12 months.
You have a skin condition or medical concern we should be aware of.
You have an event coming up within 5–7 days (redness is normal post-treatment).
Pre-Treatment Advice
To get the best results and avoid irritation:
Pause the use of active ingredients (like Retinol, Vitamin C, AHAs) at least 3–5 days before treatment.
Be aware that skin may feel red, tight, or dry for up to a week after your session—please schedule accordingly.
Prepare a gentle cleanser and moisturiser to use in the days following your treatment.
Aftercare & Healing
Your skin may feel red, tight, dry, and flaky. This is completely normal.
Avoid makeup during this time.
Do not apply SPF in the first 24 hours and stay out of direct sunlight completely.
Avoid touching the treated area.
Next 48 Hours:
Avoid heat and sweat: no saunas, hot baths, exercise, or swimming.
Your skin may still be a bit sensitive, so keep it calm and moisturised.
3–5 Days After Treatment:
Use only gentle, non-active skincare.
Keep skin hydrated with a plain moisturiser as needed.
Avoid active ingredients like Retinol or Vitamin C during this time.
After 24 hours, apply SPF 50 daily and continue avoiding direct sunlight for the next week.
Be gentle with your skin as it heals, and if it’s feeling dry, apply a gentle moisturiser more often.
